Ok, I know it's been a long time since I've posted......but I guess you can say I've been busy being a Mom. Matthew was placed in our home exactly 4 months today and what a roller coaster it has been. I can see now that no matter how hard you try and plan for a child you are never truly ready for the change that he or she brings into your life. I have learned so much in these past 4 months, it's unreal. I know now that as a parent, I will never be 100 percent perfect, but all I can do is be the best parent I can be and love my child unconditionally.
Matthew is a very smart little boy. He loves to laugh, play with his trains, work on puzzles, and read. He also loves to play with his best friend/cousin Zay. We have worked very hard at becoming a family and with each passing day I can see that little by little we are making progress!!!
I just want to say "Thank You" to our family and friends who have and continue to support and love us during this transition period. We are so thankful to God for bringing Matthew into our lives and for giving us the opportunity to be his parents.
Matthew turned 3 in May, he had a great time at his birthday party! Here are some pics of him at his party and playing with cousin Zay and Wyatt.

Christmas Is Around The Corner
Wow, only 9 more days til Christmas! Thank goodness my shopping is almost complete. I'm really looking forward to having some time off from work. Chris has been extra busy at work too delivering lots and lots of packages.
Tomorrow Wyatt is going to spend the night with us. I always look forward to spending time with him, he always makes us laugh.
We haven't heard anything new from our caseworker lately. I'm hoping this time next year we will have found our boy. I have faith that when God is ready he will bring him to us.
I hope everyone is doing well and has a wonderful Holiday season.
Love ya,

I had a Great Birthday - I have lots to be Thankful For
I had a great weekend!!!! Last Sunday Chris and my family surprised me with a wondeful early birthday dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I feel so special and blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. It couldn't have been a better birthday, so THANK YOU family for loving me so much. Wow, I can't believe I turned 39 years old. I don't feel 39. It's just a number anyway and what really matters is how you feel on the inside and on the inside I feel great!
Thanksgiving day was awesome. We enjoyed the day relaxing, eating lots of turkey, and watching lots of football. I had a great time playing with Zay too. Bryan made a fried turkey this year and it was delicious. I hope everyone else had a great thanksgiving holiday too. I'm so thankful for all the many blessings God continues to bring into my life.
Well, I can't believe the Christmas holiday season is already here. This year has just flown by. This weekend Chris and I plan on putting up the Christmas tree so that should be fun.
I hope everyone is happy, healthy, and enjoying life. Here are some pics from my birthday dinner- enjoy!

Race for the Cure……….Yes We Did!
Last Sunday on November 7th, Chris and I and my family participated in the annual Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. It’s been a tradition now for 9 years and is a time we come together as a family to play our part in supporting breast cancer awareness and to give THANKS TO GOD for healing Mom from breast cancer 9 years ago. We also celebrated my sister Leslie’s winning battle over her illness this past year. Wow, I have soooooooooooo much RESPECT and ADMIRATION for both my Mom and sister Leslie. I call them my “Warrior Survivors” who have endured battles in life that no average mortal could handle. Their journeys have taught me that life is precious and unpredictable and that the only one sure thing you can count on in this world is God and Family! They’ve taught me to be strong, to have Faith in the Lord, to live each day of my life to the fullest, and to never give up on Hope. I love you with all my heart Mom and Leslie!!!!!!
Sunday evening we went over to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate my niece Sierra’s 6th birthday. We had fun watching Sierra, Wyatt, and Isaiah playing and laughing. It was a nice party.
I think I forgot to mention earlier but Chris and I did meet our caseworker Anna several weeks ago. The meeting went well, and we are technically now just waiting for a referral from the State. A referral is when we are picked by CPS to meet a child they believe will be a good fit for our family. Chris and I pray for our son everyday and know that when God is ready he will bring him to us.
Here are some pics of the race and one of the party. Enjoy!

Fun Weekend!
Chris and I had a great weekend! On Friday night Wyatt spent the night. We went bowling at the Main Event, had some pizza at Double Dave's, and then went to Krispy Kreme Donuts for dessert. We had soooooo much fun with him!!!! On Saturday Chris and I took Wyatt to see Toy Story 3. It was a great movie, Wyatt really enjoyed it.
Today (Sunday) all I did was some laundry and watched football.....yes, it was a lazy day. This coming weekend is Halloween. I'm looking forward to seeing Zay, Wyatt, and Sierra in their costumes. I know Zay is going to be "The Hulk" and Wyatt is going to be the "Predator" and I bet that Sierra will probably be a Princess. On Friday I'm headin to Leslie's house to carve pumpkins with her and Zay......should be a fun filled weekend.
I hope everyone has a great week!
Here are some pics of Wyatt bowling, I can't believe he'll be 7 in December. Where did the time go?

Slowly progressing :)
We actually got assigned a case worker last week and we'll meet with her for the first time this Tuesday- Yeah!! I anticipate we will go over our application and we'll talk more specifically about what kind of child we would like to adopt. I'm excited and happy about meeting with her. We are another step closer to meeting our son....thank you God!
The weather here in Austin has been really nice, it was a beautiful weekend. I'm so ready for the cooler weather to get here. Chris and I had a nice relaxin weekend. We watched the Longhorns beat Nebraska and the Eagles beat the Falcons.....what more could we ask for.....oh yeah for the Phillies to beat the Giants tonight and then we'll be happy. Can you tell I like sports (haha) tis the season!!!
Well, I hope all of our friends and family are happy, healthy, and loving life.
I'll keep you posted on how our visit goes.
Until next time......

Celebrating Our 8 Year Wedding Anniversary
Today is my 8 year wedding Anniversary and I have sooooooooooo much to be thankful for. Christopher Thomas Kloss is my best friend and my soul mate. We are both so looking forward to becoming parents in the near future. We are walking this path together, hand in hand, knowing that God is paving this wonderful road for us.
Thanks to our wonderful family members who continue to support and pray for us. We love you guys!!!
