I had a Great Birthday - I have lots to be Thankful For

I had a great weekend!!!! Last Sunday Chris and my family surprised  me with a wondeful early birthday dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I feel so special and blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. It couldn't have been a better birthday, so THANK YOU family for loving me so much. Wow, I can't believe I turned 39 years old. I don't feel 39.  It's just a number anyway and what really matters is how you feel on the inside and on the inside I feel great!

Thanksgiving day was awesome. We enjoyed the day relaxing, eating lots of turkey, and watching lots of football. I had a great time playing with Zay too. Bryan made a fried turkey this year and it was delicious. I hope everyone else had a great thanksgiving holiday too. I'm so thankful for all the many blessings God continues to bring into my life.

Well, I can't believe the Christmas holiday season is already here. This year has just flown by. This weekend Chris and I plan on putting up the Christmas tree so that should be fun.

I hope everyone is happy, healthy, and enjoying life. Here are some pics from my birthday dinner- enjoy!

Race for the Cure……….Yes We Did!

Last Sunday on November 7th, Chris and I and my family participated in the annual Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. It’s been a tradition now for 9 years and is a time we come together as a family to play our part in supporting breast cancer awareness and to give THANKS TO GOD for healing Mom from breast cancer 9 years ago. We also celebrated my sister Leslie’s winning battle over her illness this past year. Wow, I have soooooooooooo much RESPECT and ADMIRATION for both my Mom and sister Leslie. I call them my “Warrior Survivors” who have endured battles in life that no average mortal could handle. Their journeys have taught me that life is precious and unpredictable and that the only one sure thing you can count on in this world is God and Family! They’ve taught me to be strong, to have Faith in the Lord, to live each day of my life to the fullest, and to never give up on Hope. I love you with all my heart Mom and Leslie!!!!!!

Sunday evening we went over to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate my niece Sierra’s 6th birthday. We had fun watching Sierra, Wyatt, and Isaiah playing and laughing. It was a nice party.

I think I forgot to mention earlier but Chris and I did meet our caseworker Anna several weeks ago. The meeting went well, and we are technically now just waiting for a referral from the State. A referral is when we are picked by CPS to meet a child they believe will be a good fit for our family. Chris and I pray for our son everyday and know that when God is ready he will bring him to us.

Here are some pics of the race and one of the party. Enjoy!
