Last Sunday on November 7th, Chris and I and my family participated in the annual Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. It’s been a tradition now for 9 years and is a time we come together as a family to play our part in supporting breast cancer awareness and to give THANKS TO GOD for healing Mom from breast cancer 9 years ago. We also celebrated my sister Leslie’s winning battle over her illness this past year. Wow, I have soooooooooooo much RESPECT and ADMIRATION for both my Mom and sister Leslie. I call them my “Warrior Survivors” who have endured battles in life that no average mortal could handle. Their journeys have taught me that life is precious and unpredictable and that the only one sure thing you can count on in this world is God and Family! They’ve taught me to be strong, to have Faith in the Lord, to live each day of my life to the fullest, and to never give up on Hope. I love you with all my heart Mom and Leslie!!!!!!
Sunday evening we went over to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate my niece Sierra’s 6th birthday. We had fun watching Sierra, Wyatt, and Isaiah playing and laughing. It was a nice party.
I think I forgot to mention earlier but Chris and I did meet our caseworker Anna several weeks ago. The meeting went well, and we are technically now just waiting for a referral from the State. A referral is when we are picked by CPS to meet a child they believe will be a good fit for our family. Chris and I pray for our son everyday and know that when God is ready he will bring him to us.
Here are some pics of the race and one of the party. Enjoy!

Thank you Kristie. You are a wonderful daughter and we could not be the warriors we are today if not for your support and strength. You are the wind beneath our wings. Love You.
